GOALS OF THE VAC-AN FOUNDATION

OBJECTIVES:

• To preserve and promote the legacy of the artist José Vázquez Cereijo, as well as his artistic and intellectual work, and his private collection, in both artistic, intellectual, and biographical aspects, within the context of Galician art and culture in the 20th and 21st centuries.
• To promote study and research activities in all fields of culture, particularly in the areas of painting, graphic art, and poetry.

The development of the foundation’s goals may be carried out directly by the Foundation or through collaboration with other entities, organizations, institutions, or individuals that contribute to the achievement of the fundamental goals.

FOUNDATION ACTIVITIES:

Cataloging and the development and conservation of a documentary and artistic archive, as well as all information related to the figure of José Vázquez Cereijo.

The circulation of the work of José Vázquez Cereijo, as well as works from his private collection and his documentary and artistic archive.

The direction and control of activities involving the work/archive of José Vázquez Cereijo. To achieve its objectives, the VAC-AN Foundation may also participate and collaborate, using its own funds and resources or those of others, and/or with its assistance and advice, in exhibitions and other museum, educational, publication, theatrical, cinematographic, musical, and any other forms of present or future expression and circulation.

Training of artists and promotion of research studies in the aforementioned fields and in its social and territorial scope of action.

Specifically promoting studies on the figure and work of José Vázquez Cereijo, seeking appropriate channels for the circulation of research work carried out for this purpose.

Carrying out socio-cultural and artistic activities to promote universal values of equality, education, and social culture.

Bringing foreign experiences of interest to Galicia within the artistic and literary fields that José Vázquez Cereijo worked in, especially in the areas of visual arts, poetry, and graphic art.

Giving due recognition and circulation to legacies of individuals or institutions connected to Galician culture.

To achieve its objectives, the VAC-AN Foundation will carry out whatever activities and provide whatever services it deems necessary, either on its own or in collaboration with other entities, institutions, or individuals who contribute to achieving its goals. To this end, it will promote the creation of a permanent centre of activity or headquarters, with an open documentation archive for research and study, and a place for the exhibition of the life and work of José Vázquez Cereijo.
